Autopsy Atari megafile 30

About five years ago I was hit by an atari with a monitor and a hard disk. The disc did not work, and atari was used to view demos. In recent years, it is lying and gathering dust in the corner under the table, and then the hand could not stand it, I decided to see how the disc was arranged inside.

We take in hand a screwdriver and rushed.

To begin, look at the exterior. Old school stuff, and if it were not for the dirt, it would be very nice.
Shield on the front panel:

For some reason, there is a slot for two finger-type batteries, which are not connected anywhere:

Split the data on the device two - input and output.
I wonder why such a trick?
Entrance:

And the output with power and the Power button:

Shildik tells us that sowing devaysina with a German slant:

When I was studying at the university, students were joking about the zavkaf that he even had a lecture on “pedzak” of the “Stuttgart University property” :) Technical and material assistance :)

Turn off all the bolts and see how well it is made.
Judging by the amount of iron covering the “stuffing”, the device may well survive a nuclear explosion:

Remove the protective cover:

On the right, at the top - the power board, under it the controller, and near the actual miracle of disbuilding - a 30 megabyte sign.

Inspector marking:

Warranty sticker on the disk is intact :)

What is very funny is that the disk is inserted with a socket under the slot, which is neither visible nor outward.
Tolley sigates were so delivered, toli is a cunning plan like this - I did not understand.

An interesting decision on the layout of the hard drive:

Previously, I did not understand the HDD, but judging by the photos I saw, this solution no longer applies.
The heads are attached to the motor with the help of two metal bands, which are wound / unwound while the motor is rotating, turning the block of heads.

The overall plan of the hard drive:

And this thing is like an air filter. It stands inside the hard drive, near the wall, and seems to be designed to trap dust.

Surprisingly, everything gathered and went back under the table.
There was even an idea to use the case for a nettop, but so far neither the time nor the need.
Yes, and it will be necessary to wash it for a long time.

If interested, you can carry out the execution of the machine itself, to which it was connected.
