The comparison is based on a pre-wiev Gizmo.
FIX: the comparison of the Nexus One and Motorola Droid in the picture! (for iPhone, there was no such visual comparison).

In comparison with the popular Android-communicators
Motorola Droid and
Samsung Galaxy , "
Google Phone " wins on a number of parameters, including
speed and
usability . However, how good is the new device in relation to the
iPhone 3GS ?
Nexus One is made in a
thinner case (11.5 vs. 12.3 mm) and weighs slightly less (130 vs. 135 grams). The back panel of the case does not look cheap plastic (although it looks like a case for glasses, as already said on the screen), though not as smooth as the
iPhone . General impressions of the design are only positive.
')
Thanks to the
AMOLED screen, the saturation of colors and the black depth exceed those of the
iPhone display. The screen size and resolution are larger: 3.7 versus 3.5 inches and 480x854 versus 320x480 pixels.
Perhaps the main “iron” argument of the
Nexus One is its 1-GHz Qualcomm QSD8250
processor versus the 833-MHz Samsung S5PC100 ARM Cortex-A8 processor on the
iPhone , whose clock frequency is reduced to 600 MHz.
In the
speed of loading web pages Nexus One is ahead of all competitors. In the JavaScript script processing tests, the
Nexus One loses by 60% of the
iPhone and
Droid , and the mobile browser Safari on the
iPhone 3GS shows better results than the Nexus, although in practice Google Phone opens pages faster.
The background design of the home screen of the
Nexus One is not just animated, it also has the ability to interact with the user: for example, the “water” theme reacts with a finger when touched with a finger. There is every reason to assume that the background is capable of interacting with applications.
The built
- in
5-megapixel camera with LED flash does not differ in any outstanding characteristics from its peers. Autofocus is activated by the trackball. There is no focusing with the touch of a finger, as implemented in the
iPhone 3GS .
The lack of
multisensory control in the browser and Google Maps is explained, rather, not by technical capabilities, but by some legal considerations, since many Android phones support multisensory capabilities at the hardware level.
Playing music with built-in
speakers is good, but not impressive.
As for the conclusions: it's hard to say anything, while no one was holding it, but the Nexus looks more interesting than the iPhon and fully justifies the price.
"Guglofon" now you can
turn it in virtual hands .
