The Day Of The Triffids - a remake of the cult film of the 80s (and 69s), based on the novel of the same name by John Wyndham. Humanity in search of a source of energy opens a plant called triffid. A super-bright flare of the Sun leaves billions of people blind, and only a few manage to maintain their sight. The world is slowly sinking into chaos. People became helpless before the triffids, and the plants begin to multiply, eating the remnants of Humanity. Is there a chance of salvation?

UPD: Perhaps the subtitles were made by a large number of people, and individual parts could be translated by machine and not by hand. I personally watched the film with them - obviously, they were translated from English subtitles intended for deaf viewers, because there is a comment on important sound events. For example (highlighted in yellow): * you can hear the sound of a running engine *.
