PC-BSD 8.0-BETA Released

The PC-BSD team wishes everyone a happy new year and is pleased to present PC-BSD 8.0 beta (Hubble Edition), which is based on the recently released version of FreeBSD 8.0 and the KDE 4.3.4 graphics environment

• The basis of FreeBSD 8.0-Release
• KDE 4.3.4
• Brand new installation system (can install both PC-BSD and clean FreeBSD)
• LiveDVD is finally implemented (system launch directly from DVD)
• Updated package manager (allows you to view / update / install)
• Ability to install 32 bit packages in 64 bit PC-BSD version
• Updated NVIDIA drivers to 195.22 (for both i386 and amd64)
