Community of iPhone Developers and iPhoneDevCamp Kyiv

One of the most interesting and significant events of this year for all iPhone-connected people in the CIS was the first iPhone conference for iPhoneDevCamp Ukraine developers. The conference was held in Kiev in July and gathered 320 people from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Moldova, Germany and the USA. It was this event that made it possible to see that we have quite a few teams that successfully develop iPhone applications, and participation in the conference allowed companies and individual developers to declare themselves, find new partners, or learn something new from more experienced colleagues.

In addition, iPhone developers after the camp have several convenient opportunities for dating, distributing news and jointly discussing and solving some development problems. This is, first of all, the Google-group , the group on LinkedIn and the regular developer meetings on the iPhoneDevCamp Kyiv mini- camps , where 50-70 people from different regions of Ukraine gather - developers, company representatives and sometimes investors.

The purpose of iPhoneDevCamp Kyiv is to create an environment for meeting, communicating, sharing experience and knowledge of everyone who is somehow connected with iPhone development. After each mini-bulb, we post a photo report and presentations ( v1.0 and v2.0 ), which were made by the speakers, and at the last meeting we filmed all the reports on video .

The iPhone movement already appears in Russia - in October, the first iPhone Day was held at a meeting of JUG.RU developers in Veliky Novgorod. Video reports can be viewed here .

Returning to iPhoneDevCamp Kyiv, the next minicamp is scheduled for the end of February and now we invite everyone who creates applications for the iPhone and who are interested in this area to speak at the camp or write about topics of interest to the reports. Previously, we want to dedicate this mini-template to the theme of promoting apps in the AppStore:

Perhaps you yourself have no such experience, but there are people or companies that you want to see as speakers. Write here or email anna.iurchenko [at] gmail.com.
