No zest something in my open source ...

I am a programmer. I do not want to praise myself unnecessarily, but colleagues, as a rule, easily build relationships with me. I have a lot of experience and often a special look at the problem, which I easily convey to the interlocutor. In short, there is no communication problem.
On the other hand, I have some really great ideas. And even a few free, open source implementations that have already been successful in the sense that they are used by people unfamiliar to me. I will not advertise them, just indicate that they are. But to attract people to work together, despite the fact that there are no technical problems, it does not always come out. However, the open source movement lives and thrives. It means, nevertheless, I am doing something wrong.

Perhaps I press. I come to the person not to listen, but to speak. There is an idea, an idea alien to him, for the realization of which he will not receive a single penny. And I do not know how to sell it, because honor and glory, dubious dividends, and people with internal motivation of ideas have enough without me.

Maybe I'm not looking there. Personal trust seems to be an important point, but on the other hand there is nothing to steal into open source except copyright. Is it worth it to wall a personal acquaintance? Search for special sites for dating did not succeed. In Google Code and Source Forge, the project can be marked with a special tick - “need developers”, but for projects with popularity below average this does not work.

Perhaps I do not say that. The language barrier is not a problem, I had to communicate in English for work and not only. On the other hand, the search in the Russian-language Internet is much more active than in the English-speaking.

Maybe something else. It would be nice to understand exactly what to fix ...
