Here I remembered something, many probably know, but maybe not.
I read it somewhere, I thought it was garbage, but a couple of years ago I ran into a problem when installing Windows from a scratched disk and tried this method (maybe it is the only one, but I don’t think)
We smear a disk with toothpaste (only not some kind with diamond granules or something else, otherwise it can be done worse), gently rub it with a soft cloth and rinse with warm water, wipe dry.
As a result, Windows finished the installation without a single error, I was surprised;)
