The legendary Contra and the unknown Gryzor. What are the differences?

Many in childhood had the prefix "Dandy". (Which is actually called differently. It doesn't matter.)

Practically everyone knows the game Contra , where two pitches appear in the main menu. One of them, for example, is very similar to Schwarzenegger. It begins in the jungle. The super-duper fighter (or fighters, when playing together) is thrown onto the island, where some alien creature has got hold. It is necessary to get rid of it with the help of a whole arsenal of different weapons, which for some reason is replaced by one another and falls into our hands exclusively in flying capsules.

But it's not about the plot. Actually, what many people played was a trimmed copy. The full version of the game is called Gryzor . Unfortunately, there are texts in her native language, i.e. on hieroglyphs, and unreadable for most.

Nevertheless, the game is somewhat different from what we all ended up in a hundred thousand times. With what?

1. At the first level you can see the movement of foliage. From the wind or not - it does not matter. In Contra, all this is static.
2. There is a character image between missions. Obtaining instructions, apparently.
   
   
   
   
3. In the game between missions there is a map on which the diverse world of the mysterious island is clearly visible.
   
   
   
   
4. At the level of Snow Field (snow level) snowfall is realized. In a stripped down version of this, of course not. The screenshot is difficult to see a snowball. After all, this is static. But if you wish, it is possible.
   
   
   
   
5. At the last level of Aliens Lair, as you approach the boss, everything starts to move around. (For those who have forgotten what the boss looks like. The environment is organic on the ceiling and floor).
   
   
   
   
6. In conclusion, the game of the helicopter after the destruction of the boss does not just fly away from the island, which in turn is spread into pieces. Cut out the scene, as the main character gets into this very helicopter.
   
   

If you didn’t go through Gryzor, don’t know what it is - I recommend to download some emulator and try it. Games for 20 minutes (taking into account the possibility of preservation), but a lot of memories and pleasure!
