Turning in the hands of two weeks, made his own subjective opinion.

The book has an E Ink Vizplex screen with a resolution of 600 by 800 pixels, a gigabyte of internal memory, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, a USB host, a slot for microSD memory cards, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It all works under control of the Linux operating system.

Touch screen
No complaints, except for the fact that it is because of this functionality, the total display quality has deteriorated somewhat.

The control elements of the interface increase, in comparison with other models of PocketBook, - you can safely forget about the stylus, pressing (and paging) with your finger does not require addiction.


Reading
Nothing fundamentally different from other e-books. Of the additional amenities - the presence of a gyroscope, allows automatic (and, importantly, disconnected) rotation of the text. As with the PocketBook 360, books can be read at any position of the device in your hand.

By the way, that in one hand, that in two - the book is very convenient; in the fields, on the sides of the eran, just thumbs are placed on the screen itself.


Music
In my opinion, an e-book should remain a book, and nothing more. The ability to play MP3 files is that not unique. But the book cannot and should not compete with players or even mobile phones.

The only open question - podcasts - personally seems tempting to me. A device with a good network potential may well acquire the necessary functionality in future versions of firmware.


Network
As I mentioned the line above, this device has a very good network potential. Bluetooth is currently used only for connecting to a modem (mobile phone), but there is no need to read more on the Internet.

With Wi-Fi, no problems were found, except for some non-obviousness of connection configuration, which again, most likely, will be corrected with the release of new software versions.


To draw the line: if you just want to read and, roughly speaking, do not pay for additional functionality that will not be used, it may be worth looking at other devices. If you want to have something “for growth”, the opportunity, for example, to buy books directly from the device, use network applications that will appear in the future - then you can already look in the direction of PocketBook 302.


With the release of the model in the wide sale it is possible to make a full review, as for PocketBook 360 ; although personally I find the questionable value of such articles - not seeing the device alive, little can be understood from a press release of any length, even with photos.
