Instead of Qt Opera will use Xlib

As you know, the Opera 10.50 alpha browser version for Windows and Mac has recently become available. In the light of the Linux version of the browser, it became known that Opera refuses to use the Qt library, so Qt is no longer needed to build the browser. The user interface will now be rendered directly through the XLib library. The developers believe that due to the change will increase the speed of the browser. And despite the changes, Opera will also support KDE and Gnome styles.

At the moment, ready version for Gnome:

As you can see in the screenshot, the browser fully supports the native GNOME style - GTK.
The KDE version will be released a bit later, since KDE integration is somewhat more difficult when fixing Qt on XLib.

Now if you allow me to express my humble opinion about the news. I personally took this news rejection of Qt with joy, since I myself am a long-time fan of this browser. Why with joy, yes, because opera is the only application because of which Qt hung on a home computer. There was a time when I switched to Linux, tried many distributions, and almost everyone had to download, build Qt so that I could use my favorite browser, and Xlib costs almost everywhere, especially judging by the GTK screenshots, the version looks very bad.

Something like that, it’s very interesting to know your opinion of respected habrowsers - users opera, will the browser lose something by refusing Qt or not?
