The study found that Mac owners generate more content on Web 2.0 sites than regular PC users. That's not all. It turns out that the owners of "macs" are also more friendly, that is, they are more inclined to participate in social networks.
Such conclusions follow from the analysis of figures from a recent study of technography, which was already
discussed at Habré a week ago . Now this Forrester paid report leaked to the press and new details became known.
As we have said, the Forrester study aimed to determine how many Internet users create web content and participate in social networks. It turned out that 48% of Internet users are engaged in this, of which about 19% of users are active on social networks (joiners), 15% participate in content markup or syndication via RSS (collectors), 19% publish comments and participate in voting (critics), and 13% are authors who generate author content (creators).

')
Each of the 9026 respondents was asked how he uses a computer. So, a detailed analysis of these figures showed that among the users of Macs, the percentage of “creators” was significantly higher than the average, namely a little more than 20%. That is, users of "poppies" much more often record podcasts, shoot an author's video, write blogs, etc. In addition, among the fans of "macs" there were significantly more people in other "active" categories, including among the participants of social networks.
Among the “Makovsky” audience, the share of absolutely passive Internet users is much smaller: only 35%, compared with 55% of PC users (they are called Dell users in the report).
