FineReader Online - Beta 3

3 months have passed since the release of the second beta of our service and thanks to you we have prepared some more goodies for our users. Why thanks to you? Yes, because it was the wishes of users that formed the basis of most of our improvements. So, first things first!

First, we added a lot of different languages. Now there are 37 of them and you can recognize documents in any European (and not only) languages!

Secondly, we finally got a multi-boot file. You can upload up to ten files, each of which does not exceed 10 MB.

Third, you now have the ability to upload files, but not recognize them. I remember someone complained that when loading another file, he replaced the previous one. Now it is not so: all uploaded files (up to 10 pieces) are simply added to the last block on the recognition page, and then you can choose what you recognize now, and what a bit later.

Fourth, we added the “delete” option to the personal account. Indeed, why copy links to documents that you have already downloaded!

UPD: I completely forgot, fifthly, if it seemed to us that the service did not recognize your file well (the number of characters in the final file is less than a certain limit), then the pages written off are returned to your account!

Maybe I have not remembered something else, but, it seems to me, even this is quite enough to please you :)

In addition to the story about updates, I would like to add that we are very pleased to watch how slowly but surely our user base grows. Now she has already passed for 20.000. It is difficult to judge whether it is a lot or a little, because the service is quite specific and people need it not every day. But this growth shows that people share with our colleagues, acquaintances and friends information about our offspring, which means that we are not in vain trying.

With all these new features, FineReader Online continues to work in test mode, which means that you can still recognize 10 pages per day for free. Well, in the meantime, we continue to work on new chips to make it even more convenient for you to use our service!

In parallel, work is underway on our API, which someone has already been interested in here in between cases. If you have ideas about how you would like to use our service through an API, be sure to email us about it. Want - here in the comments, want - on the site itself in feedback . The more people write to us about this, the more convenient our program interface will turn out.
