prehistory
We live in an ever-accelerating and post-modernizing world in which information flows spill over into everybody in an exorbitant amount.
A typical representative of our era is prone to clip thinking, multitasking and perception of a whole mosaic of various data every day.
Perhaps this is precisely the secret of microblogging's popularity - when there is no time for reading leisurely thoughtful texts, reading short verbal clips allows you to retain at least some control over the situation. With the prevalence of copyipeysta and the dominance of information consumption over the ability to create one, predictions have emerged that microblogging will soon degenerate into mindless retweeting of several popular notes. Like this:

')
But, as it turned out recently, there is also an optimistic version of how to degenerate into it: much more creative and more closely related to talent - get acquainted:
nano blogging !
idea!
It would seem that maybe shorter sms and is it possible to artificially create even more restrictions than this form, where even a normal link does not fit? Can! In the first nanoblog engine I noticed -
wordr.org - the size of the post is limited to one word. What is the word - you decide! But spaces, dots, commas, apostrophes, and parentheses are prohibited (an excellent antidote to emoticons :-). Only Latin letters are allowed (the service considers other alphabets too funny), and, if desired, a question or exclamation mark at the end. In case the user allowed himself too much - he displays an ironic error message - just try!
And of course, no links (even short-short ones) and spam-like hashtags (even capital letters are inadmissible, to the delight of fans of beautiful typography): only a stream of pure consciousness!
Only at the beginning the idea seems dull and hopeless - and then suddenly there is a craving for word creation, capacity and unprecedented semantic depths - the
Urban Dictionary would envy such a number of non-random neologisms. But while the service is not Russified, it requires a good knowledge of English, all its techniques, subtleties and suffixes. And each time bring something of their own.
the details
The authorization mechanism is quite reasonable: it is parasitic on OAuth and allows you to use your Twitter account. Thus, in the new environment, you can find all the old friends who have decided to escape with you from the seemingly monstrous Twitter on this scale. There is also a replay mechanism that allows you to reproduce the dialogue that somehow took place with one teacher on the way to the metro:
- integral
- differential
- gathering
- collapse
- credit!(pity, there were no transcripts with them). In this case, unlike the older brother, wordr immediately allows you to see, without clicking on the link, which word is the answer.
There is, of course, a “tag cloud” (which are the sent words), which allows you to visually see what dominates in the heads of the latter-day nano-bloggers. As well as statistics: who posted how many words and how many of them were pronounced for the first time (within the whole service). Unfortunately, Faycoritis is not - or maybe you can do without them, simply by repeating the words you like at home.
You can take all this as a parody and a masterpiece of postmodernism - or you can be a messenger of social media atomization: who knows, maybe in a few years pictoblogging with posts of one letter shine?
bonus links
If it would be possible to put another habrakat inside the habrakat - here it would be the place for it. But, at the risk of being caught in link spam, I still decided not to give up the original idea and add a small bonus to the article. The fact is that, in general, it was written for the
second part of the “Internet Stuff” contest, where they asked to refer to the posts of other participants. From me by the word got everyone:

UbernoteDid you read these blogs? And what, did not have an irresistible desire, bypassing Twitter, go to nanoblogging? In this case,
wordr.org is waiting for your words!
PS And by the way, while the service is young -
its tape can still be read in a row (especially, the authors are laconic). And try to do it with the "fire hose" twitter!
PPS By the way, Habrovchane - participating in the competition, respond: I will add your nicknames!
