Take photos on documents

Photos of the documents - a program written by me, which is designed to prepare a photograph of a person on Russian documents. The program is used for more than a year at dozens of “photo on documents in 5 minutes” points. In addition, the program can be used at home, receiving significant savings.

I am sure that comments on the topic “why if there is a photoshop” will be sprinkled. Yes, you can do the same thing in a graphic editor, but less productively. After all, the photo on the documents, in addition to the width and height, you must comply with a number of parameters, such as the size of the front of the head. And for each type of documents, its own parameters.

The main features of the program

• Getting photos from a file or from twain sources (webcams, scanners, cameras)
• More than 10 types of documents. The ability to add your own types, or edit existing ones
• The ability to insert a straight or round corner, oval with feathering.
• Formation of the sheet, ready for printing, containing the necessary quantity of photos.
• Ability to send photos to an external editor, to remove pimples, etc.
• For photolabs there is the possibility of inserting advertising text, which may contain the date and time.

How to work with her

Just open the photo (get from the device twain, drag with the mouse), set three points as shown in the screenshot and select the document type. You will see a red frame that shows which area of ​​the photo will go for future use.
If you are satisfied with the result, then you can click the “shape” button. Usually, some kind of correction is needed (pimples, scabs, uneven shoulders, remove the background). To do this, you can send a photo to an external editor (the path to it is specified in the settings). Click “To Editor” and your favorite editor will open with an already-photographed photo. After editing, save the image.
It remains to press the "form" button, and choose where to get the image: from the program, or from an external editor.



Click "save", and get the finished image, which can be printed on a photo printer (necessarily on matte paper), or carried to a photo lab, where printing one photo is much cheaper than "photo documents in 5 minutes."

PS If anyone, I wonder, the program is written in python, using the Tkinter graphics library (Tcl / Tk), the PIL is used for working with images. All this is collected using py2exe.
