First, a small entry.
One of my personal creative projects is a site with a set of short and often seemingly plotless phrases that appeared as side effects of mental activity (it happens when you think hard, something else comes to mind). There is also a play on words, funny verbal constructions heard or seen somewhere, self-made aphorisms, a splash of emotions and so on. The project is clearly not for a wide audience, but, no less, a long-standing (more than 4 years old) and carefully supported. Works on a standard engine and handwritten theme. No advertising links are there, never have been and never will be.
And so, the other day, quite accidentally, it turned out that the site had stopped being indexed by Yandex.
')
This is not to say that this project had, is or is supposed to have some tangible influx of visitors from search engines, but was lost from the index.
In the course of the correspondence with the support service, I received two letters on standard templates, with which they, apparently, are responsible for the owners of spam and junk sites. With links to rules (about seo-links, search spam, advertising, dishonest receptions, pop-up banners, etc.), which I, of course, have never violated.
After analyzing and classifying the pages of your site, our algorithms decided not to include it in the search. <...> At the moment, your site will not be returned to the search, as it does not fully correspond to our understanding of a quality site. <...> We do not enter into correspondence regarding specific technical methods on the site or addresses of poor-quality pages. The only option that seems reasonable to me: Yandex’s algorithms have decided that the content on my site is “automatically generated (meaningless) text” (they have such an item in the rules). And it is quite possible to understand the situation when the algorithm is mistaken. But it’s a pity that the Yandex employees didn’t find it necessary to deal with the problem, but they routinely sent me templates for SEOs.
Judging by the rules, sites that are of poor quality
from a search engine point of view are excluded from the index. And so, the algorithm failed, I report this, but the staff of Yandex, it turns out, is not interesting. They do not need feedback.
UPDATE. They sent a letter that the error has already been fixed, the site must be present in the issue and will soon appear there. Thanks to everyone and Yandex.
