You don't often see news about hacking crackers for DDoS in the press. And here's a fresh sushi from Ufa:
Most of all, the phrase “from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment” hurt the ear, because you unwittingly put yourself next to these folk craftsmen. I remember, not so long ago there was a post about such extortionists in Habré. The site lay and the money demanded very uncompromisingly. Saved one habrayuzer, voluntarily and free of charge, volunteered to help. If anyone finds an article, I will say thank you :) Upd: Found. The first and second parts with a happy-end. Thank you , GreyCat
I decided to go through and out in search of other DDoS captures: In Dnepropetrovsk, they “took” a hacker: DDoS by request Also fresh, from November 5th. Everything is very similar, with the only difference being that it worked alone and did not pretend a fake document. The first difference is quite significant, since if there were at least two of them, it would already be not the first, but the second paragraph of art.361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine , and this is only a deprivation of liberty (for 3-6 years instead of 0-3) without any options there with a hit only on 600-1000 non-taxable minimum salary (17 UAH * 600-1000 = 10,200-17,000 UAH ≈ $ 1275-2125) or restriction of freedom. ')
I have not met any more articles on this subject on the territory of our countries. But this is enough to conclude that now we are caught and punished for DDoS, and very severely. These achievements of the security authorities personally surprised me. Although the severity of punishment strongly overdo it. I think, any IT specialist will have enough half a year in places of imprisonment in order to permanently abandon cyber-gopicism and heal a civilized programming life.
Upd 2: Transferred to Information Security. Thanks for the karma. Upd 3: News about Ufa criminals appeared on ORT 01/29/2009. Far from freshness, but not yet rotten :)
