Viral Twitter Campaigns

Recently, brand promotion on Twitter in the corporate sector of the Russian Internet has acquired a serious scale. @HTC_Ru , @GoogleRussia , @yandex - this is just a small list of brands that aggressively promote themselves on Twitter. This is not surprising, since Twitter, unlike other social networks, allows you to communicate with loyal users much more efficiently and stay in constant communication.

Sony Ericsson went further than the rest because it organized a small viral campaign based entirely on tweets. Surely many of you know about the new marketing campaign SE - Hopper Invasion . By itself, it does not carry anything innovative, but the cunning of the SE have come up with an interesting viral supplement to it. A special room was built, equipped with pumps, the task of which is to inflate a certain hopper in time. SE engineers connected an Arduino microcontroller to the pumps, which monitored Twitter for posts with the #pumpt hash tag. As soon as a new post was found, the pump immediately inflated a new hopper. All events could be observed from two installed cameras. Thus, the SE killed two birds with one stone: they were promoted, and lit up in trendy topics. And what examples of successful viral campaigns on Twitter do you know?
