Developed touchscreen for 32 fingers

Apparently, not everyone is satisfied with a multitouch for two or four fingers. Obviously, there are tasks when you need to handle more simultaneous touches. For these tasks, the German company Citron has developed a new type of touchscreen under DreaMtouch . These are huge displays with a diagonal up to 82 ", with a set of infrared sensors around the perimeter.



Having connected the imagination, you can imagine ten people playing Civilization or Warcraft, sitting around such a screen and moving their fingers with their troops.

As a matter of fact, the technology allows you to successfully handle touches at a speed of 50 coordinates per second, even if many fingers are close to each other and they block the rays of infrared sensors. In addition, such a touchscreen can recognize the size and shape of an object placed on its surface, which brings DreaMtouch closer to the characteristics of Microsoft Surface.
