An open letter to the Main Nightman News2.ru: Do not bury Web2.0!
I was forced to turn to such an unusual genre of Open Blog Letters by two circumstances that somehow coincided in time. As reported by CNews (http://internet.cnews.ru/news/top/index.shtml?2007/04/19/246652), research by analysts at Hitwise agency shows that the vast majority of users of Web2.0 sites are user-oriented. -generated content, have no desire to create this content on their own. On the other hand, my experience with News2.ru has shown that with the efforts of some of its leaders (top participants) such resources can be abandoned by this very small percentage of self-respecting users. Those who just fill the site with links to their blogs and / or their comments make meaningful discussions around other materials. A vivid example of what has been said is two reviews of news2.ru/story/35727 on my note “Why News2.ru is a shovel?”, The link to which I posted on this site. Its author, Dimanach, is the Main Assessor of News2. ru, as I understand it. Little Angry Little Man - by slightly changing his proposed motto, I will further magnify my addressee. At his personal request, I clarify: ranked first in the ranking of News2.ru. Frankly, I would never have gone down to polemics (if that word is acceptable here) with such little men, if I had not seen them as a great threat to the public (social) self-service information sites, and maybe the whole Web 2.0 direction. It is they, first of all, and not the spammers, with whom the little men pretend that they are fighting, and, unfortunately, give reason to say, as Cnews refers to it, that “Web 2.0 is another soap bubble ... with a failed main idea (user -generated content) ". Not so naive as to hope with his letter to rehabilitate the untransferable. It was written, of course, for those who can somehow separate the “lapwogs” from the Internet and prevent them from burying the Web 2.0. And now the letter itself ...

I'm used to keeping my promises and I respond to your detailed review, or whatever you like to call it. I hope from the appeal itself it is clear that I do not accept your proposal to switch to “you” and, at the same time, I do not refer you to those with whom you can talk to “You (with a capital letter)”. I must say, your indignation about my note is quite understandable. The note turned out to be the most intensively readable blog and was among the recommended ones. During her peak hours (below, I will explain why I emphasize this), 2/3 of News2.ru visitors voted. At the same time, it seemed to me that at least half of those who agreed with me, like you, immediately recognized one of the main anonymous heroes of the note. And this is doubly insulting. Hence your repeated “idiot”, “garbage”, “stupidity”, “dregs”, “der * mo” and the like. Proving something nasty is weak, therefore the classical method of the little men is applied to transfer the discussion to the plane “A fool!” Familiar to them. Thank you, at least this time you regretted and decided not to beat the snout. With many others, you have dealt more ferociously. By the way, a passing question to your review. In what “context” can one “drive into the snout”, and in which it is impossible? Here and everywhere further in quotes tried to conclude only your phrases. An interested outsider with a gas mask will easily find them (and many similar ones) at the above addresses or by running through the complete collection of your essays on News2.ru. Could you advise you to read the recently appeared draft Code of Honor for bloggers. With some modifications, it is easy to extend it to the whole Web 2.0. However, I do not think that will help. Codes of Honor is not for the little evil men. After all, only their thoughts are worthy of being considered an “opinion”. Thoughts of all the others are “stupid gong of stupid” people, which, naturally, should be kept to yourself. Such people, creeping out of the virtual world into the real world, start beating people of Caucasian nationality or anyone else there to save Russia (remember your passage about “forged boots”?). Or shoot their classmates in American schools.
By the way, as the lessons of the latest American tragedy showed, little people love to "promote" themselves. For this, they are even ready to accept death. Alas, you must thank me for my work, saving you from such a sad outcome. And most importantly, for free ...
I admit, at first I wanted to call this note "Jupiter, you are angry ...". Everything was suitable for the situation, except for one. I did not want to insult the memory, although pagan, but still God by comparison with the Little Evil Man. Only here for the Internet hurt!
