The results of the contest "The best free project of Russia"

Today the results of the contest “The Best Free Project of Russia” held by Linux Format magazine were summed up.
It should be noted that the name of the competition was somewhat ambiguous, because applications were accepted from the entire space of the FSU, but nevertheless the competition was called exactly as it was called ...

Winners of steel

In the group of individual projects:

1st place - file archiver with a high compression ratio of 7-zip, a prize of 100 thousand rubles.
2nd place - madwimax reverse-engineering Linux driver for mobile WiMAX (802.16e) mobile network access devices based on the Samsung CMC-730 chip, a prize of 80 thousand rubles.
3rd place - HTTP-server, HTTP-proxy server, nginx mail proxy server, prize 70 thousand rubles.

1st place - OCR system of the Russian company Cognitive Technologies - CuneiForm, a prize of 100 thousand rubles.
2nd place - vector graphics editor Sk1, focused on professional use in the printing industry and supporting proprietary formats, a prize of 80 thousand rubles.
3rd place - the console file manager Midnight Commander, a prize of 70 thousand rubles.
