Megafon, MTS and Beeline launch 3G in Moscow. And what about the tariffs?

Megafon-Moscow has a news-announcement of the launch of 3g in Moscow :

At Beeline and MTS, there was no news about the launch of 3G at the time of this writing.

The fact that Megafon is going to install several hundred towers in a couple of weeks, of course, gives us confidence in our bright future.

However, 3G, in the first place, means an increase in the data transfer rate to 7.2 Mbps, i.e. and a half orders of magnitude above EDGE. This means that with the current average price of 6 rubles per megabyte, you can very quickly destroy your balance. And the STOP button is unlikely to save here.

So, what did the operators offer?

Megaphone

3G services are available to all MegaFon subscribers who have phones or modems that support this standard. Switching to the 3G network from the GSM network occurs automatically, the current tariff of the subscriber is saved. For active users, a special tariff offer "Unlimited Internet" has been created .

In short: anlim package for 1,100 rubles per month (+150 for connection)

This “wonderful” fare has a lot of reservations:
The package is not available in roaming.
The package is available only to subscribers of the tariff plans of the Modem and Communicator series.
When using a packet from 01:00 to 08:00, the volume of transmitted and received packet traffic is not taken into account.
When using a packet from 08:00 to 01:00, if the transmitted and received packet traffic exceeds 5 GB per month, the data transfer rate is limited to 128 kbps.
The offer is valid from 10/05/2009 until 01/31/2010.

Beeline

According to iXBT.com (did not find the original news):

For users of phones with 3G support, two unique package offers are also provided: the cost of a package with 1 GB of internet traffic is 495 rubles, a package with 3 GB - 795 rubles.

Mts

Tariffs dedicated to the launch of 3g in Moscow were not found.
The most profitable, it seems, is MTS-Connect-2 and it looks like this:

100 MB = 300.00 rubles / month
250 MB = 600.00 rubles / month
500 MB = RUB 1,100.00 / month
1,000 MB = 1,700.00 rub / month
3,000 MB = 3,700.00 rubles / month
Payment for 1 MB over the connected package = 3.50 rubles (0.99 on the most expensive package)

• No honest anlim-rate has been proposed.
• The price per megabyte for "people working for one paycheck" is unlikely to fall even twice.
