Seagate has officially unveiled its new Momentus Thin ultra-thin hard drives designed for use in portable PCs.
According to the manufacturer, Momentus Thin - the thinnest 2.5-inch hard drives in the world. No wonder, the thickness of these HDDs is only 7 mm, which is 25% less than the “standard” thickness of devices of this form factor. ')
In the series, it is planned to release two models: 160 and 250 GB. The technical characteristics of the known cache size (8 MB), spindle speed (5400 rev / min) and interface (SATA 3 Gb / s).
You can watch and feel Momentus Thin at CES 2010. Then, in January 2010, OEM deliveries of hard drives will also begin.
