Sympathy bokuju

Bokuju went with the student to the temple after a morning walk. A man came up behind him, hit him hard on the back with a stick and ran away. Bokuju didn't even turn around; he continued his walk. The apprentice was shocked. He said:

- Why don't you react? What's wrong with you? This man hit you so hard, and you didn't even look back!

Bokuju said:
