Google Home

As everyone has already noticed, Google decided to slightly change its main page, adding a fade in-effect. On the one hand, it is clear why they did it - a manifestation of the Google minimalism of the interface.

And now a little IMHO.
First of all, it annoys me a lot (apparently I’m somehow very irritable). Secondly, I do not see any point in changing the interface. Thirdly, I believe that usability has only gotten worse.

')
It's annoying because my Google page runs by default, and if I want to check my email, I click on “E-Mail” at the top, which I did before very quickly. Now I have to drive the mouse on the screen and watch their animation and then click on the e-mail. Apparently, you have to add E-Mail to your bookmarks. Yes, maybe, of course, they concentrated the user's attention on the most important thing, without distracting him to other links, but later they distract much more.

The second is that the html tag is not closed in their html code. Probably to make the page load faster? At least for a microsecond. A bunch of Java-Script code, apparently, does not bother?

Why sin on usability. Just imagine that you came to find something. You load the page, everything is super, the input-box appeared, you type the query, then you want to move the mouse to “Search” (I know that you can enter it, but some use the mouse to do this, believe me) or “I'm lucky”, and then ... Google is starting to distract you with its chips, which sort of scream: look, I still have mail here, photos, maps, videos !!! (I wanted to write a caps, but resist)

And the last. Google is a rather large desktop. And many “web designers” will start taking an example from them! You will see! I'm scared already!

I would like to know what Habravchane think about this?
