PostgreSQL developers are going to fully support major release for five years.
After the support period, we may (at our discretion) continue to apply critical corrections. Formally, neither releases nor installation packages will be produced, but the updated source code will be available through the version control system.
In rare cases, version support may be terminated early. For example, due to a serious error that cannot be fixed in the current major version without loss of compatibility or without significant risk to the stability of the code. ')
