Most recently, at a presentation that HTC organized for T-Mobile representatives, there was a leak of information about HTC’s plans for the next year.
So, the entire HTC product line will be divided into several categories:
- Design / Lifestyle - smartphones targeted at the youth market segment: HTC Legend , HTC Salsa .
- Social - youth smartphones, focused on tight integration with social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Flickr): HTC Tide , HTC Buzz .
- Performance - smartphones with thousands of horses under the hood: HTC Bravo .
- Productivity - Windows Mobile smartphones designed for the business segment: HTC Photon , HTC Trophy , HTC Tera (remake of Touch Pro2).
According to Eldar Murtazin, this roadmap lacks a pair of key HTC devices, such as the
HTC Espresso , or the 10 inch Tablet
HTC Halo running Android.

Let us turn to the description of the most awaited smartphone on Habrahabr.
HTC Bravo is the company's first Android smartphone, which is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 gigahertz processor, capable of recording 720p HD video, 512 MB of ROM, and 256 RAM (according to rumors, the size of RAM will be increased to 512 MB). Also included is a 16 GB MicroSD memory card and a 1400 mA / h battery. The display uses AMOLED 3.7 "with a capacitive touchscreen. It’s not long to wait, the launch date is April 2010! An excellent opponent for XPeria X10.
HTC Legend is another Android device that boasts a metal frame and a thickness of only 11.4 mm. Its characteristics are more modest than the Bravo: 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 as a processor, 3.2 "capacitive display, 512 MB of ROM, 256 MB of RAM. Judging by the form, in March we are waiting for another brother HTC Hero!
HTC Salsa is a gift to fans of Blackberry backgrounds and Android at the same time. Salsa is a marvelous monoblock with a qwerty keyboard and a very tiny (by modern standards) resistive display 2.6 ". The heart of the smartphone is Qualcomm MSM7225 528 MHz. Also quite standard 512 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM - with it. Release date - June 2010 .
HTC Tide is not a branded laundry detergent for HTC, but a new Android smartphone designed for fans of social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Plurk, Flickr, etc. According to the characteristics of the phone is similar to the HTC Salsa: Qualcomm MSM7225 528 MHz, 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM. Display - 2.68 "QVGA with a resistive touchscreen. Release date - April 2010.
HTC Buzz is the new incarnation of HTC Tattoo, only this time a much prettier, very thin (11 mm), as well as a capacitive 3.2 "touch screen. Other features: Qualcomm MSM7225 528 MHz, 512 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM. Lovers emphasize their individuality with the help of accessories will receive a new toy in May 2010.
HTC Photon is a logical continuation of the HTC Diamond series, HTC Touch Diamond 2, but this time it is much more advanced, namely: a design similar to HTC HD2 catches the eye. Also, the device will be equipped with a 3.2 "capacitive HVGA display, Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM. The thickness of the smartphone is also impressive - only 10.9 mm. It’s not long to wait - April 2010!
HTC Trophy is another attempt on the Blackberry market, but this time the smartphone will run on Windows Mobile 6.5. Also worth noting is a nice design in the style of HTC HD2, a 3 "capacitive VGA display. Other specifications are standard: Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz, 512 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM. Worth noting that all HTC phones have lost much weight: the thickness of HTC Trophy is 11 mm. The premiere is May 2010.
The HTC Tera is nothing more than a remake of the HTC Touch Pro 2, only this time smaller, thinner and more stylish. Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz, 512 MB RAM, 256 MB ROM, also comes with a resistive 3.2 WQVGA display, a full qwerty keyboard, but most importantly - 15 mm thickness! Release date - April 2010.
It should be added that the HTC HD2 will be the flagship in the HTC product line throughout 2010, i.e. making a purchase now, you will not have to bite your elbows in 3 months :) HTC will slowly get rid of Windows Mobile phones by giving them a segment of the business market, and all of the main niches are occupied by Android. Geeks started to save money on HTC Bravo, however, I, too, :)
HTC did a great job and it seemed they tried to wipe their nose for everyone: Samsung with AMOLED displays, Blackberry with qwerty monoblocks, and Apple with gigahertz processors and support for OpenGL ES 2.0.
