The Japanese company Panasonic is preparing to stop the conveyor belt in 2010 with the iconic labor tool of DJs - Technics vinyl players.

The other day was followed by an unexpected statement from the concern Panasonic, which, under the brand name Technics, produces various DJ equipment. A spokesman for the concern, Ian North (Ian North), spoke about plans to curb the production of cult vinyl technics players. “It’s sad today to talk about it, but because of low sales all over the world we decided to stop the production of Technics turntables,” said Mr. North. It is supposed to discontinue the most famous in the club world the 1200 and 1210 series, and stop the conveyor in February 2010. For Australia, shipping will stop in March.
Technics players have become a revolutionary development for club culture, they have been used since 1972, and since that time more than 3 million turntables have been sold worldwide. Since then, these players have become so popular that not only became the standard for any self-respecting club, but also came to the London Science Museum as one of the key technological elements that formed the history of music.
But it is possible that not everything is so bad. At least, in the German representation of Panasonic could not confirm this information, because so far they have not received an official press release, unlike their Australian colleagues. Thus, it is likely that this news will not affect the European market.
