In addition, such signal sources as cell towers, communications satellites, and other navigation satellite systems are being considered: the Russian GLONASS and the European Galileo.

The first task of the project - the creation of secure ground navigation - is to determine the availability of signals and their applicability in this system. If the results obtained in the first stage are positive, then the specialists will start creating receivers that can automatically determine the most acceptable signal for use, reports New Scientist.
