Dear community,
After reading a fairly large amount of material on this portal, I decided to insert some of my corrections into my understanding of the principles of writing business letters. Today, our businessmen lack professionalism, knowledge of the
“rules of the game,” long established in the business world.
There is a lot of information, and time for a set of the thoughts and knowledge is narrowly limited. I will try to give information in compressed blocks, without lyrical digressions and comparisons. As they say: “Facts! Just the facts!
')
In the comments you can discuss the material presented by me personally. This is my first article, do not judge strictly.
I'll start with my additions to the basics.
By exclamation mark
- The
exclamation mark (!) Is often used in advertising letters.
Yes! Our goods are cheaper! Try them now!In all other commercial letters, exclamations should be avoided.
Several additions in upper and lower case letters
-
Upper case letters are used when writing names and titles.
They are necessarily used when writing adjectives that indicate the nationality, the name of the day of the week and the month.
-
Capital letters are used to give a word special meaning:
Try the Sunset product (SUNSET)!or name highlighting:
We hope that our representative Mr. IVANOV will visit you soon.Words written in capital letters can be replaced with italics, or words written in bold letters, underlined words or quoted.
The main thing to always remember the most important rule: in order to be effective, the use of any methods with the text should be reduced to a minimum. The current trend is the so-called
"open punctuation" , i.e. The number of used punctuation marks is reduced to the required minimum.
In the next article (I hope) I will give some simple rules for the provision of a commercial letter.
