Linux Mint 8 “Helena” released!

Yesterday, November 28, the Linux Mint 8 Helena release was announced!

Version 8 "Helena" is based on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, but differs from the parent in the presence of codecs, flash and other software, mainly closed and media in nature. In Linux Mint, installation of skype, google earth, picasa and other closed programs is carried out in a "one click". The distribution is 100% compatible with Karmic Koala.
