At Kursk, free wi-fi has already been commissioned, now it's the turn for the remaining stations of the capital.
The initiative comes from JW (Directorate of Railway Stations). In my opinion a very correct, "modern and timely" solution.
In the coming year, the reconstruction of stations and stopping points on the main course of St. Petersburg-Moscow is expected. Accordingly, a line on the need to implement a w-fi network also hit the TK for the reconstruction of the Moscow station of St. Petersburg.
In addition to wi-fi, it is expected to equip the stopping points with information boards and a loud-speaking alert system (remember, I wanted to write a post on this topic, but the project has not yet been issued, so I can write a full post, only after the delivery of documentation)
')
PS : When I read one of these TZ for the reconstruction of the station I smiled one moment - the standard 802.11 a / b = was everywhere registered. If I manage to participate in the design of the wi-fi network - I will insist on the support of 11n!
We must rejoice, as they say.
PS2 : another interesting project is presented by the Russian Railways for the construction of a new railway combined with an automobile at the Adler - Krasnaya Polyana section.
