Design as an engine of innovation

On April 17, 2009, the European Commission began discussing the document, in a certain sense, epochal for the development of design, as a profession: " Design as a driver of user-centric innovation "

Until June 26, the document was discussed (public consultations were held) and finalized.

On November 26, at the UX Russia webinar, Andrei Sikorsky and I discussed the significance of this document for the industry.

The document contains:

* Analysis of the place of design in the development and innovation;
* Design definitions;
* The results of studies of the situation in Europe;
* Discusses the impact of design on business competitiveness.
