Droid Interactive Advertising in New York

On Black Friday, that is, tomorrow, Verizon is going to rent two huge Times Square screens for 20 hours in a row for a real cyberpunk experiment (and advertising Droid phones). In the experiment involved Google.

Tomorrow, everyone passing through the central square of New York can dial the number 888-376-4336 and say a search query aloud, and the search results will instantly appear on two large screens hanging in Times Square. For example, if you pronounce the word "pizza", the screen will show a Google Maps map showing the nearest pizzerias. The system works through speech recognition APIs that are available to all developers under the Android platform.

There are 24 hours left before the screens are turned on. It is hoped that Google has installed good XXX content filters.

It is terrible to imagine how much the rent of screens cost as much as 20 hours, but for any small company this is a great chance to advertise on the central square of New York absolutely free of charge if you run a search query by its name.
