Hacked site online store Symantec

Softpedia.com reports about hacking online store Symantec. The Romanian hacker, nicknamed Unu (previously known for hacking the American version of the online store LK and BitDefender), this time used an injection of a SQL query in the database of the pcd.symantec.com website.

Unu could quite easily get to the table in the database associated with the vendor's online store. There, his attention was attracted by the presence of the PaymentInformationInfo section, which contained addresses, credit card information (month and year of card expiration, number, type, mail addresses, owners' names and surnames, secret code, etc.).

In addition, he also gained access to the database in which logins and passwords of site visitors were stored, including information on purchases and issued product keys.
