While North America is in anticipation of a revolution in the field of bar codes of a new generation (more details about QR can be read here ), the Asian region goes further. Several large corporations (including Toshiba and NEC) are joining forces in an effort to create technology to transfer content to advertisements, such as light boards, books, posters, to a mobile phone. The unnamed system still uses flashing LEDs to transfer data to the phones. Users can get product information from a distance of five meters from lit advertising media by simply pointing the phone toward the light. With good luck, the technology will be ready for 2013.
