Last Friday, at a symposium on ARM processors, the Asusian daughter of Pegatron showed a 10-inch smartbook, ready for production.

Recall that at the end of July, Pegatron was already showing a prototype of this smartbook apparently. That summer machine was based on the mobile chip Freescale i.MX515 with an ARM Cortex A8 1 GHz processor. It was claimed that the Pegatron smartbook will be able to play video in 720p HD resolution.

Now, to the available information, it was also added that the mini-laptop running Ubuntu Linux is working, it is equipped with a 3G module and a battery allowing autonomous work for at least 8 hours. The Pegatron smartbook will go on sale in February 2010 at an estimated price of $ 200 (subject to a contract with a cellular operator).
