Hacking the Climatic Research Unit server led to a big scandal around global warming
A few days ago, hacking resulted in the secret correspondence being stolen from the servers of the British University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit www.cru.uea.ac.uk. Hadley CRU is one of the world's leading institutions for the study of anthropogenic and natural climate change.
An unknown hacker published a 62MB archive (!) Of the internal correspondence of the CRU on the Russian FTP server.
Then the archive was sold on torrents .
Everything would be fine, but as it follows from the correspondence, the CRU employees sometimes falsified the statistics in such a way that the statistics would look like Global Climate Change (tm) is really a serious problem.

This fact led to a big scandal. It is understandable how such an official organization can manipulate information on global issues? The blog telegraph.co.uk has published an article on the topic, under the loud headline "The last nail in the coffin of Anthropogenic Global Warming?".

For justice, it is worth adding that CRU is really a serious university. With a lot of clever scientists. To discredit all their work would be wrong. Of course, belief in Global Warming is now pretty diminished. But you shouldn't dismiss him at all, it’s just that the problem is probably not as big as it is painted.
This case is a good illustration of the fact that speculations on problems are not being brought to good. All the secret will be revealed and even a small lie can lead to great consequences.

1. Hacking with the theft of a large amount of reliable information.
2. The introduction of false data.

- The central part of Russia froze for a week or two to -25, and then covered with snow on the windshield. :)
