ViewSonic has
introduced a 19-inch all-in-one computer. Like other models of this class, this PC actually consists of a single touchscreen monitor with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels in the case of which the entire “iron filling” is hidden.
The latter, by the way, is the typical content of the netbook sample of the summer of 2009: Intel Atom 230 with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB hard drive.

Among other things, we mention the Gigabit Ethernet module Wi-Fi, card reader "4 in 1" and stereo speakers-wheezing. Even in the monoblock there are 4 USB ports, headphone and microphone outputs.
All this economy weighs about 5 kilograms, is managed by Windows 7 and is sold for $ 650.
By the way, in connection with the release of this PC, it seems to me that it would be appropriate to recall that as a class of products the monoblocks failed and did not become massive. And the prospects in this regard are very vague. The head of the Belarusian representative office of ViewSonic, Alexey Novik,
speaks directly about this:
“At the beginning of the year, it was assumed that as manufacturers form a segment of low-cost monoblocks, sales of LCD monitors may decrease in the range of 299-399 dollars. Therefore, ASUS, MSI and we went to this business. But really, I don’t see any huge sales and I don’t even think that they will appear. Monoblocks are definitely not to blame for the fall in the volume of the monitors market.
Monoblocks are a niche product aimed at a very narrow audience. Additional mobility you do not get with the purchase of a monoblock. Even if we compare it with miniPC, it does not take up space, it is attached to the monitor from the back, you can always remove it, the power consumption is low, the benefits are clear. And a candy bar? A very small selection of configurations, which also depend on the diagonal - 2-3 models for all. Monoblock - the second, or even the third computer in the house. Well, for the price it is still more expensive than its entire filling separately, and the design is not particularly impressive. I may be mistaken, but I do not believe in the prospects of monoblocks.
So think, perhaps, it is better to buy a good netbook. About the same money costs.
