What happens when the user goes offline forever

Have you ever wondered what will happen to your mail account, LiveJournal, blog or one of the social networks when you do not become? Who will get access to your accounts, correspondence, personal data?

It turns out that there are already special services ( lastmessagesclub , assetlock ) that have access to the official authorities database, recording the fact that you are no longer there, that is, thanks to them, no one can access the unauthorized use of your personal information. And they can also send the last message to your contacts.
Different services treat this issue differently.

If you have an account on gmail, then your immediate family will be able to access it. To do this, they need to fax or email the following information to Google office:

1. Your full name and contact information, including your verified email address.
2. Gmail address of the deceased user.
3. The full header of the email sent to your verifiable email address from the Gmail account in question.
4. Proof of the user's death.
5. One of the following documents:
a) if the deceased person was 18 years of age or older, provide an official confirmation in accordance with local laws that you are his legal representative
b) if the deceased person was under 18 and you are his parent, provide a copy of his birth certificate. More details here .

Do I need to delete accounts?
The controversial issue as for me. For example, there was a good blogger who wrote posts for himself and here - bang and not him. But the blog remained, the memory remained. On the other hand, in 5-10 years there will be thousands of free accounts that are not needed by anyone and will simply clutter up the information space.
For example, in a mobile communication, if a subscriber has lost a card and does not use it for a year (two, three - depending on the policy of the mobile operator), the number is blocked and re-issued after a while. This keeps the numbering capacity. In the same LiveJournal there is also a kind of cemetery

You do not think that I think about something bad). I love to live, I just decided to share this thought with you.

Do not think about the bad! :-)
