Have you ever wondered what would happen if computers did not use video? That is, instead of visual contact with the user, it would be audible. No, of course, the video could appear in certain situations (just as computers do make sounds in certain situations now), but the main means of communication between the computer and the user would be sound.
What would the interface look like, or rather be heard? What would be the game, what kind of Internet? I once reflected on the whole interface, in which actions for the current moment would be located on notes. This is an analogue of one-dimensional graphics: you can only move up and down. To open a browser, for example, one would need to sing or play a “do” musical instrument, and to turn off a computer, “si”. The advantage of such an interface would be that you can do without any controls at all - the keyboard, the mouse, and so on. Just a computer (you can portable), headphones and a microphone. And for those users who have not yet learned solfeggio (and do not play musical instruments), it would be possible to provide special buttons that move the pointer (similar to the mouse cursor) one step down and up.
This is all, of course, only ideas. And in the
sound games you can play now, on your computer.

Sound game (audio game, eng. Audio game) is an electronic game that uses sound to transfer game information. Initially, sound games were made for the blind, although now everyone plays them, and they are becoming increasingly popular.
It all started with the Touch Me game, released by Atari in 1974. The gameplay was reduced to memorizing a sequence of tones, which were also accompanied by flashes. If the player correctly repeated the sequence, another tone was added to it.
Then all new games appeared. For example, BBBeat is a game designed for the blind. The player puts on the headphones and uses sound to find and swat the bee. Sensors are mounted on the wrist and determine whether he succeeded.
Other games do not require special devices - just a computer and headphones / speakers. Example -
Be The Wumpus . It is proposed to play for Wampus - the character of the classic text game "Hunt the Wumpus". The action takes place in a cave, in complete darkness, so you can only navigate by ear. To move, you can use either the keyboard (arrows - move, space - jump), or a gamepad (which the author recommends).
It turns out that there are not only graphic computer games. You can play with your eyes closed, or watching the clouds outside the window, and what kind of monitor or video card you have is irrelevant for these games.
