I want to share a little observation, which I was extremely surprised, but maybe someone has already come across this. Last week, on my way home from work, I got stuck in traffic on Nevsky Prospect in front of Vosstaniya Square. There is a traffic jam on a regular basis, and in fact, everyone is already used to it. So almost at the very traffic lights on Vosstaniya, my phone showed an alert “Receive a message via bluetooth from Nokia N90”? I thought, well, probably, someone is having fun in a traffic jam, and pressed “accept”. Came a picture with the advertising of a site of sex dating. I laughed, and drove on. What was my surprise when the next day, in the same place, they send me the same message!
That is, it turns out, somewhere near this traffic light, most likely, there is a computer with a Bluetooth module in the house on Nevsky, with a software that scans the phone around for bluetooth and tries to send a message with an advertisement. At the same time, a place was chosen where there was always a traffic jam and a bunch of cars with the included phones inside.
In my opinion, a very elegant solution for sending spam, what do you think?
