Fedora 12 just came out, but already happy.
When the connection from Yota (madWiMax) launched from the console via usb modem fell while reading the habra-tape in the N-twentieth time per day, the nervous system could not stand it. "Oh, you are so!" - I thought on my 11th Fedor. “I’ll put Ubuntu on, you'll know!” Especially since they already have packages there, and even, it seems, are integrated with the Network Manager.
But the laziness of messing around with installing a new distro and the fact that out of 5 different Linux distributions only Fedora does not pull me back to Windows gave her one last chance. I could not imagine that the decision would be
')
A simple Google request logically sent me to RPMFINDER with all the packages containing the word madwimax in the title. And that's almost everything. There immediately found a
package from the 12th version , which was installed. After installation you need:
- Pull the modem;
- Wait 10 seconds;
- Insert modem.
With a sudden disconnect, the sequence of actions is the same. When connected, the LED flashes in the same way as in Windows. This starts the madwimax and dhclient processes.
For those who have the Internet on one computer, and Linux with Yota on the other, here is a list of dependencies:
