Unipolar motor

image
To create the simplest unipolar engine, we need:

Under the cut instruction and video demonstrating the assembly process and the result.

  1. Place the magnet on the negative contact of the battery. The magnet used in the example is 1.25 cm in diameter and 0.65 cm thick. Any magnet of a similar size will do, but ordinary ceramic magnets are too weak, so it's best to use neodymium.
  2. If the wire is insulated, it must be removed. Bend the wire into any shape you like, making sure that the resulting circuit has good contact with the positive terminal of the battery and around the circumference of the magnet. Making the wire beautiful and functional requires some patience. The basis can take the form shown in the photographs.
  3. Balance the circuit on the battery and, making changes to it, achieve that it rotates easily and quickly. The battery charge is enough for a few minutes of work.
