The USA are beginning to fall behind

The United States of America, which for a long time topped the list of the most Internetized countries in the world, began abruptly to give up their positions. According to the latest report of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-Operation & Development), as of the end of 2006, the US has slipped from 12th to 15th place in terms of “broadband Internet connections per 100 citizens”.

The pace of Internet penetration into American families in the United States is even lower - 30th in the list. The most progressive in this sense are Denmark and the Netherlands.
