Bypass the protection of PDF documents with ... Scribd!

Previously, it was possible to bypass DRM protection of PDF files using Gmail: to do this, you had to view the attached PDF file “In HTML”, after which the content could be copied unhindered. However, the Google team found out about this bug quickly fixed it.

It turns out that with DRM-protected PDF files, copy protection can be removed with the help of Scribd, a new startup that collects a huge open library of documents (for more information about the service, see ilnovikov Ilya Novikov on IS ) The idea is that Scribd's online document converter has the same bug (or feature :)) that occurred in GMail.

After uploading a secure PDF document to the Scribd server, it can be viewed as plain text, an HTML document, or an unprotected PDF document!
