HeadHunter launches a network of job search terminals
Soon, street kiosks will appear in shopping centers and other public places in Moscow to look for work. The network is launched by “ bounty hunters ” under the brand of “ 100 jobs ” and, obviously, is aimed at low-skilled workers and specialists with limited access to Global Computing. The project, apparently, is in trial operation, and information on pilot installations will appear in the near future.
The kiosk is a standard device based on a standard PC with a capacitive one-touch screen and a resolution of 1280 × 1280 pixels. On board is the “no-matter-what” OS, which serves the Firefox 3.5 browser in Full Fullscreen mode and an Internet connection. Judging by the screenshots and comments by Andrei Sumin , the developers took the interface design seriously, realizing that people far from the technology would use the street search.

The search itself is a three-level catalog: Field of activity - position - vacancy. The user can browse this catalog and view descriptions, working conditions and contacts of the vacancies of interest.
In general, job search terminals are not new: they can be accurately found in some employment centers in the Russian Federation (I heard about such people in Barnaul). But HeadHunter, apparently, decided to extract from the network of such kiosks not only social, but also commercial benefits. Now on the pages of the terminal search advertising messages “Find a job by SMS” are posted. Soon, I am sure, there will appear a display advertisement and a number of paid services related to job search.
