I observe how the implementation of services in the form of these applications is becoming more and more “fashionable” practice. In a year there will be 5 times more of them (my assessment, who thinks more precisely - correct). The direction is just beginning to gain popularity. Even if we throw out gaming and entertainment from them (of course, the majority and they are the most popular, the 95% rule still works), there are still very necessary and useful ones.

Well, for example, offhand: Internet radio, payment systems (Webmoney, Roboxchange), icq-clients, sending SMS. There are a lot of applications duplicating the functionality of some useful sites: Last.fm, 4konverta.ru, flea market mobile mobad.ru, all sorts of horoscopes / organizers / weather forecasts / TV programs. There is even a keyboard simulator!

Given the huge audience of this largest social. networks in runet, as well as a large number of contact people, you can draw your own useful conclusions.
