Hello to all. (This is my first post on Habré, blah blah blah).
A thought came to mind, I want to share it, because I myself still do not implement it for anything.
Preposition: many people remember such an educational method in learning languages - cards. On the one side of the card - the word, for example, in English. On the other hand, translation (+ transcription + translation options in various fields and mn). Who watched House MD, remembers that Forman, when his memory went out of order - restored it with cards with the names of medical preparations (on the one hand the name, on the other - doses, indications, contraindications, composition).
')
Actually the idea: I have never seen such an application for a mobile platform. It's elementary, isn't it? A dictionary of 50 (250) thousand words + interface (white background in full screen with the word, press the button, the screen turns with the “reverse side of the card” - showing the translation).
This is probably very simple for Symbian, for Iphone, for Android, for Win Mobile and even just on J2ME for very simple phones. And then there are not only languages - any branches of knowledge, the same pharmacology, and, in general, any branch where there is terminology))) that is, all branches.
I have not seen such applications, but this is very cool: you are going to the subway, launched it on the phone and passed 500 words from Altufevo to Prague ...
Have you seen such applications? Maybe I just looked carelessly? Would anyone like to do this? Does it make sense to you?
(The idea is distributed as is without any claims to authorship, loot, respect, etc.)
Thanks for attention)
UPD:Ps.
