Debian GNU / Linux now has a licensed clean kernel.

A new kernel (2.6.31) without proprietary components was laid out in an unstable branch literally just now. All blobs are allocated in a separate package. For now, versions 486, 686, 686-bigme and amd64 are available. I am writing to you from under the racially pure Debian without any proprietary components.
