HSBC Bank is conducting a test of technology that will allow sending advertising information via Bluetooth to a mobile device of a person passing by one of the London branches.

The tests, which started at the beginning of this year, will be completed already this week. During the tests, a small device was used that sent invitations to mobile phones with Bluetooth enabled to go to the bank and learn more about its services.

First, a person is asked if he wants to receive such an advertising message. If he agrees, the advertisement will be displayed on the phone screen.

The new system is able to memorize cellular devices, which have already sent advertising, thus, excluding re-sending messages to people passing by the office every day.
